MODELS

PISTOL Magazine is not a “pin up magazine”, we are a custom culture lifestyle publication that includes photos of alternative models and fashion editorials. We are about the artist, so we do require a specific type of image from professional photographers, therefore, WE DO NOT ACCEPT SUBMISSIONS FROM MODELS, but we will work with you.

If you are in the Southern California area and would be interested in working with us directly, please contact Courtney Kittner at courtney@pistol-magazine.com

Model Guidelines

  • A brief statement on who you are and why you would like to work with us.

  • A link to your main web presence where we may view your entire portfolio. We will only work with professional models with an up-to-date portfolio.

  • Include your size, measurements and current photo.

  • Location.

A release form will be required.

WRITERS

PISTOL Magazine covers all aspects of the custom culture lifestyle, featuring personal stories about the artists we are interviewing. We are focused on the story behind the art and the destination the artist took to reach their goal.

The editorial voice of submitted work should be relaxed, conversational, down-to-earth and friendly. Each article should be looked at as life stories rather than reviews. We are not Time or National Geographic, we are an edgy rock ‘n’ roll themed magazine and we welcome a laid back feel to our articles. Feel free to put in as much of your personality and thoughts. The reader should feel as if they are having a conversation with friends.

To ensure review of your material, please submit final drafts of your work. By final draft, we mean that anything that needs editing will not be considered.

Submit articles and story pitches via email to courtney@pistol-magazine.com.

ALL SUBMISSIONS SHOULD INCLUDE:

·      The subject box should include the words “WRITER SUBMISSION” and indicate the article category.

·      Article length for submissions should be no longer than 2000 words.

·      Please submit in a MS WORD file

·      Photos are accepted as JPEG, GIF, TIFF and PSD files.
