bike// The 1 Motorcycle Show

I've wanted to attend the One Moto Show for a couple of years now, so when my friend Enrique called the Tuesday before the show and said lets drive to Portland this weekend, I was in. We hit the road from Ventura Thursday night, with a stop in Bakersfield to pick up a rescue dog to transfer up to Washington for the Northwest Boxer Rescue (we featured them in the last issue of the magazine). Back on the road, only another 12 more hours to go, we drove all through the night. We got to Oregon around 11am and dropped our little doggie hitchhiker off to hopefully go to a forever home. The next day we headed over to The One Motorcycle Show - this year the location was a few blocks from last years show, right in the heart of the lower eastside industrial area. An amazing location to say the least; still equipped with a huge industrail steel press.

Thor Drake and George Kassapakis, the guys behind the show, really know how to put on an amazing event. We had a blast - lots of good friends, great bikes, good music and beer... what more do ya need? Oh, and the weather was great this year so that was a plus. Some of the highlights were: Chrome Industries setup a mini bike board track which looked like fun and art work on display by Bryan Raleigh Scott, Ray Gordon, Derek Vandergriend and Scott Toepfer. This is definitely an event you should add to your calender. We'll see you there next year!
