bike// Mama Tried Motorcycle Show

What more to ask for on a cold February weekend in Milwaukee, than the second installment of the now famous, Mama Tried Motorcycle show. Warren Heir Jr. of JR Cycle products and Scott Johnson of Fuel Cafe; who are both veterans of the motorcycle world, have quickly established the show as one of the "must attend" in the country. The weekend long event began at the Harley Davidson Museum Friday night with a pre-party that included doom metal favorites; Trouble and Mount Salem.

Your ticket got you into the bands and an all day access to the museum.

The main event, all day Saturday and half a day on Sunday the Harley Museum shuttled people from the museum to an abandoned warehouse that couldn't have set the tone any better for this type of show. When you arrived you where instantly graced with amazing lane splitters from Jason Webber from ATR, Scott Jones from Noise Cycles, Dave Barker from Speed Metal Cycle, and of course the beautiful "Larry Special", a super cool flathead that the late Larry Pierce from Garage Co. Customs built. Anyone who is anyone in the motorcycle scene (and on Instagram) was there for this show, but only the "best of the best" where asked to put a bike in. And what an honor it has become to be asked to put a bike in the Mama Tried show. Additionally, a few choice vendors such as Heavy, Show Class, Death Science, Triple Six Death Crew, Blood Creek Knives, DICE and the legend himself, Tom Fugle were all there selling to the masses. The guys from Born Free were in attendance, giving away a bike that was built for BF6 by Brandon of Brawny Built and Speed Merchant. Just when you think the weekend couldn't get any better, Sunday bought you ice racing down at McKinely Marina. What a great way to end a real gathering of friends. To me, that's what this show is all about; a gathering of old friends, and making some new ones. Thanks again Warren and Scott, for putting together such an rad weekend.
