skate// A Day in Ventura w/ Curren Caples
Back in April we put on our 2nd Annual Surf & Skate Art Show. We had a great night and the turn out was out of control in the best way. We had a steller line up of artists, including Curren Caples. Photography is just a hobby for Curren, but he really has a great eye and an awesome collection of cameras. Our friend, skate photographer Jonayd Cherifi (whom was also in the show) wanted to get some shots of Curren before he returned to France, so we teamed them up to do a little photo montage of what is so great about (both) our hometown, Ventura.
Curren and his family were generous enough to host Jonayd over the weekend. Curren took him around town, to show him what he does when he's home. Some of his favorite spots are Ojai Skate Park, his family compound, Momentum Ride Shop (in Port Hueneme), Corrales Mexican Food, Emma Wood State Beach and Pacific Skate Bowl.
