fashion// Wolf's Head Santa Barbara

On a recent trip north, we stumbled across Wolf’s Head, a high quality menswear shop located on State Street, in the center of downtown Santa Barbara’s shopping and dining district. Their impeccably displayed window immediately drew us in. The impressive presentation continued throughout the entire boutique. With a classic industrial and vintage sentiment, the merchandising was distinct to the brands that they house.

Founded by two brothers, and Santa Barbara natives, Ruben and Cristian Sagastume. With a background in the fashion and design industry, they found a niche that needed filling in their hometown, and jumped on it. They took a risk with a unique approach to commerce in a town that is more conservative than contemporary.

Wolf’s Head is just blocks from the beach, settled in an aged building with a masculine and industrial vibe. Exposed brick and reclaimed wood set a stage for the time-honored brands that were previously not available in their area. They offer an atmosphere reminiscent of the streetwear shops on Melrose or the classic contemporary shops of Abbot Kinney.

With apparel specific to men of all demographics, they are building a wide clientele not only at their Santa Barbara location, but online as well. You’ll find that Wolf’s Head is the ultimate shop for the man who loves style, but not necessarily shopping. A guy can drop in for apparel, footwear, leather goods, and eyewear. Recently partnering with Richie’s Barbershop of Montecito, you can find Wolf’s Head goods at that location or swing by the State Street store for a haircut and shave.

Some of the brands they are carrying are Woolrich, Uppercut, Red Wing Shoes, Levi’s Vintage, Pendleton, Goodworth & Co., Hershel Supply Company, 3 Sixteen, Age Carriers, Baxter of California, Dog Ltd., IVI Vision and PF Flyers. So stop in or check them out online!
